Back in the US

Well, my plan to continually update while in the Czech Republic failed rather miserably. Every time I thought about it, something else would come up and I would get distracted by that project for a bit…and I’m sure you can see how the vicious cycle continued. But, I did manage to keep my travel journal up-to-date and I will continue that through the next semester during my studies in Egypt. So, make sure to keep watching me as I travel. Should be a lot of fun this semester. Especially, with all of the terror stuff going on.

It’s Alive!

I’m sorry for the long break with nothing new. The last few months were kind of rough on me. As I wrote before, I worked two jobs and I prepared to leave the country for a year. Well, it’s finally happened and as I write this to you right now, I’m sitting on my bed in my apartment…in the Czech Republic. Which is where I will be studying the art of filmmaking. I’m so excited, but nervous. This has been a long time in the making and now that it’s here…wow. Just wow!

Free Compliments!

While looking through the Baltimore sun this morning, I found this article. Two guys from Purdue college are traveling the east coast and they are giving out free compliments to anyone passing by. I think this is rather awesome! I mean, who doesn’t love compliments. Had I known a little sooner that they were going to be in Baltimore, I may have stopped by for a compliment. Keep an eye for these guys whereever you go. They say that they are going to continue this until they graduate college, which is in two years.

Just an interesting piece of news that I thought I would share! Have a wonderful day!

Even the Economy Leaves an Effect on Art

While looking around this morning and checking the news, I came across this startling piece. The Baltimore Opera company is closing its doors for the rest of the 2008-2009 season and filing for bankruptcy. I know I shouldn’t be surprised to see this, as there are many companies that are going under due to the economy, but this one hits pretty close to home. Not only is it in my hometown, but the flute teacher that I took lessons from when I still wanted to be a music major was the principal flute player for the Baltimore Opera.

Where It All Begins!

Dear Reader,

This is where it all begins…

Welcome one and all to world of my imagination. I can’t guarantee what you find here will always make sense, but I can promise that it will most likely be amusing. I try to look at the world differently…however, I do find that even if you try to look at the world, someone is always looking at it the same way as you.

And now, without further ado, I invite you to take a look around and see if you find anything that meets your fancy. More projects will be added later as they are completed. Also, feel free to leave feedback, I love to hear what people have to say.

Yours Truly,

Becky
