52 Frames. Week 16: Blue Hour

The prompt: “Blue Hour”.

On Saturday night, I looked up when sunset was. 7:52 PM. It had been raining for most of the day, but with my schedule last week, this seemed like my best chance to get a photo in the Blue Hour.

So, I left my house early and drove to the rink arriving around 7:43 PM. I had a game at 8:30 and figured if I could beat the sunset to the rink, I could try to grab a photo while I was out there.

I spend a lot of time at this rink. Usually, I’m arriving just as the sun is setting or has already gone down, so it seemed fitting to grab a photo in the way I most commonly see it.

It’s not the best photo I’ve ever taken in the blue hour. I have so many more that are of gorgeous places I’ve traveled to, or breathtaking landscapes. But this photo is important to me. It’s a mundane part of my everyday life and I really loved capturing it like I do all of my other amazing adventures.
