I spent the long Labor Day weekend with my former college roommate and her husband down in North Carolina – about 5 hours south of where I live. One of the things we did was take a trip out to the Carolina Tiger Rescue and go on a tour. There were some very excellent big cats and this tiger, Samar, was one of them!

I’ve been doing some watercolor painting as a form of stress relief lately. One of the first things I do when I’m prepping to paint is spray the watercolors and the lid with water so that I can activate the pigments and then also use the water on the lid to mix colors.
