I fully intended that after I made that post back in August that I would take to writing in my blog a bit more frequently. As I’m sure you all realized, I didn’t. Oh, August. How August!Becky made a liar out of present!Becky. Such a shame.
The truth is that my life after grad school has been a bit more full of adventure and stress than I would have actually imagined. I expected that I would get myself involved in other projects once I graduated. I just didn’t account for them to be projects that took a significant amount of my time, like a new puppy and a fall remount of the Shakespearean show I did over the summer for the Capital Fringe Festival (which I do recommend you see if you haven’t. Tickets are available online!). I don’t regret any of it, don’t get me wrong. I just forgot to write about things like I did when I was always in school.
In November, however, I plan to change that. Starting with this post. I’m working on NaNoWriMo, which is National Novel Writing Month, or rather a challenge to write 50,000 words in one month. So far I’m behind, but I have faith that I can write this novel.
So here I make a promise. I’m going to write my way through November, but I’m also going to remember to keep this blog updated. It’s going to be a month of writing, but what ever else are you going to do in November?
